Let's make something together

Are the works posted here even implemented?

All projects you see here went into implementation and production (except for one that got pushed back some features at the end of lifecycle). Some were developed by me, some were from an engineering team. Some might have been tweaked already from the launch.

All designs you see here are made by me.

Which template or publishing site did you use on this website?
No templates were used. This was all designed from scratch, and coded from scratch. I used Figma in designing, 11ty for the development.
“I see my knowledge on development as an advantage as I can communicate better on the engineering team. I also consider this helpful when designing feasible solutions.”
Are you more of a developer than a designer?
I started my career as a software engineer developing financial systems. On the side, I was a designer and developer of marketing websites, that spanned into creating some CMS. I enjoy development as I enjoy designing. It is a different joy being able to code the design you made as there is a different joy designing new things. (Ofc they got their own frustrations but that’s for a different topic This is fine )

I see my knowledge on development as an advantage as I can communicate better on the engineering team. I also consider this helpful when designing feasible solutions. On recent years, I am focused on design but still getting updated on web development. I’m an amphibian.

Should designers...code? thinking-party
Company-wise, it depends on the company you’re in. Perhaps they’re short on the talents, and you might need to wear different hats. Enterprise-large companies might not need you to learn code as they have specific roles on the dev team. If you’re not comfortable with it, don’t push it. Instead, use your efforts in honing your design skills.

Career-wise, it doesn’t hurt learning or at least have a knowledge where your design is going to be built on. It is a plus, but not a requirement.
