Overview
Simmons & Simmons is a leading international law firm, founded in the City of London. Simmons & Simmons Adaptive is their flexible resourcing platform in providing clients with first-rate lawyers.
Simmons & Simmons needed to find a way to manage the resourcing of projects with Clients. Adaptive connects Clients to lawyers through a rigorous selection of best lawyers to take on any project.
The goal was to create a platform where Simmons & Simmons can supplement consultant lawyers to Clients' projects, or internal projects. This covers onboarding consultants, and assisting Simmons & Simmons in selecting the ideal consultant for any project.
We have 4 main features: placement management, consultants & clients management (CRM), billing, and matter management.
Placement Management
The main block of the project. Create, and manage the lifecycle of placements; supply the ideal consultants to projects
CRM
Management of consultants, and clients
Billing and Timesheets
Create, approve, or decline invoices, and manage filing of timesheets
Matter management
Transition the project to a matter. Manage it from milestones to tasks, events, and activities
It was my first time to visit London...It was a back-to-back workload for the whole 2 months. I led the product design, and had a fair share in front-end development.
Dig in
I was sent to London to work with the product, and engineering teams closely with client collaborations. It was my first time to visit London. (Thinking about it, how I wish I should've explored London more that time, as we were mostly indoors working heavily on the project).
It was a back-to-back workload for the whole 2 months. I led the product design, and the engineering team would develop what would be approved by the product team. I also had my fair share in helping the development (front-end only). Those 2 months reeked of stress, yet gratefulness, and excitement as it was my first time in the city.
Designs were to Client's satisfaction, and mine. Most importantly, the project was shipped.
As of this writing (2020), Adaptive has been going on, and widely used by the Client. I'm delighted with the outcome of this project. Designs were to Client's satisfaction, and mine. Most importantly, the project was shipped.
On the 4th quarter of 2019, Simmons & Simmons did a brand refresh, and now uses a bright coral palette.
